Groups

A group is the unit of translation: every mapped channel in it receives copies of the others.

Create and inspect

/translate group create name:global-chat

/translate group list

/translate group info name:global-chat

Free plans may have one group. Pro and Premium have unlimited groups.

Permission management

By default the bot locks each language channel so only the matching language role (plus the bot) can see it. Turn that off if you want everyone to see every language and only use BabelWeave for copies:

/translate group permissions name:global-chat manage:False

Category-cloned groups usually have permission management off so Discord’s category inheritance keeps working. Use roles sync with force:True if you really need per-channel overwrites.

Delete

/translate group delete name:global-chat

Unmaps channels and stops relaying. Discord channels themselves are not deleted.
